Today I:
- Worked a short little retail shift.
- Called my brother.
- Updated my reference sheet.
- Edited a few pages.
- Unloaded the dishwasher.
- Watched Follow That Bird. Discovered that even though I’ve seen it approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty two times, I never realized Waylon Jennings was the turkey truck driver. Marveled at the quality of the music overall.
- Blogged at …til the river.
- Watched My Girl. Proceeded to cry like a baby.

Oh. my. goodness. I LOVE Follow That Bird! I haven’t watched it in ages, but I’ve got it on a VHS where we taped it off tv or something when I was a kid. I always loved it and I remember feeling so sad for Big Bird when he’s blue. I’ve talked about it before, and no one ever knows what I’m talking about. Wow.
My grandma had it on an old VHS, too, and I used to watch it every. single. time. I visited. Considering she lived just a block away for years, I watched it a lot. Not only was it heartbreaking to see Big Bird turned blue, man, I was terrified of the Sleaze Brothers. Ha.
